Radio Show Thu, 9/24: SAFE Preceptorship Training Program Experts

What happens when a sexual assault survivor goes to a hospital emergency room after an attack? If the hospital staff is not properly trained in victim-sensitive protocols, the experience can be just as traumatic as the assault itself.

This week, Crime Prevention Specialist and radio talk show host Susan Bartelstone talks with Dr. Sultan Torshkhoev, Amy Edelstein and Karen Carroll, members of the NYC Alliance Against Sexual Assault’s Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) Preceptorship Training Program, about how this secondary trauma can be minimized.

This is a model program that can be replicated all over the country and a show you’ll want to save.
