Volunteer Opportunity: Crisis Counseling Volunteer Advocates

You Can Make A Difference!

The Crime Victims Treatment Center of St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center has been training volunteers from the West Side community since 1977. We are looking for dedicated, caring men and women to provide Emergency Room advocacy and emotional support to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
All prospective volunteers must be:

* 18 years of age or older

* Willing to be on-call twice a month

* Able to reach both St. Luke's (114th St + Amsterdam) and Roosevelt (59th St + 10th Avenue) Hospitals within 20 minutes of receiving a call

* Able to attend all training dates

2009 Training Dates
Thursday, October 8 (6pm to 9pm)
Saturday, October 17 (8am to 5pm)
Sunday, October 18 (8am to 5pm)
Saturday, October 24 (8am to 5pm)
Sunday, October 25 (8am to 5pm)
