A judge could determine Friday whether to allow an Oklahoma law to go forward that will post information online about women who get abortions in the state.
I did a double take when I read this- is this for real?
According to Oklahoma State Senator Todd Lamb, who helped draft this legislation:
"We want to collect hard data that can be a useful tool in helping prevent future unwanted pregnancies."
Sure, and give anti-choice zealots a tool with which they can discover which of their neighbors has had an abortion. Sounds like a GREAT idea, Oklahoma... way to preserve privacy rights!
