New York's Relief Effort for Haiti

NYCforChange stands with President Obama in his pledge to the people of Haiti, "'You will not be forsaken, you will not be forgotten." The Red Cross estimates 50,000 people died in the devastating earthquake in Haiti on Tuesday, January 12.
The most important need is cash donations. We invite you to support the following relief efforts:
1. Tues, Jan 26th - "STAND WITH HAITI" Grassroots Benefit
Join NYCforChange and the Obama grassroots community in supporting critical medical aid provided by Partners in Health. 7-10 PM, Amity Hall, 80 West 3rd St. $10 cover, checks or copy of online donation preferred. To volunteer, please contact RSVP:
2. Text "HAITI" to "90999." Donate $10 to the American Red Cross, charged to your cell phone bill.
3. Text "Yele" to "501501." Donate $5 to the Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund founded by musician Wyclef Jean.
4. Go to Interaction for a listing of additional organizations in need of donations.
Please send this email to your family and friends. Thank you.
