Pro-public healthcare option ad targets Pelosi at home

POLITICO:

Pro-public option ad targets Pelosi at home

PCCC/DFA/Credo Action have raised the $75,000 needed to run a cable TV ad pressuring House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to push for a public option -- citing 51 commitments in the Senate (Some have signed PCCC's commitment letter, the rest have made supportive statements.)

[Link to ad is here.]

The ad starts with Pelosi's recent claim, "I'm quite sad a public option is in there, but they don't have the votes," followed by a countdown of the 51 yeas in the Senate.

The group's point: Now that the attempt to pass the bill is being made through reconciliation, why not push for most Democrats' preferred option -- the public one?
