Pres Obama endorses Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney's campaign

I am pleased to announce that our campaign has received the endorsement of President Barack Obama.

I had the honor of working with our President to pass the historic healthcare reform bill.  President Obama also signed into law my Credit Cardholders' Bill of Rights legislation, which reigned in the abuses of the credit card industry.  And just last week he signed my bill to ban fake Census mailers. With all of the progress we’ve made, his endorsement couldn’t have come at a more meaningful time.

Working for change with President Obama has brought enormous success, and it means so much to me to be recognized by our President for all that we’ve accomplished.

But we’re just getting started.  After huge strides in healthcare, I look forward to working with the White House to ensure 9/11 first responders get the care they deserve.  And in New York, we are pressing forward with the 2nd Avenue Subway and East Side Connector projects, which are already creating jobs for thousands of New Yorkers.

With your support and the support of the President, I know we can continue the fight for reform together.
