Action Alert: 3 Pieces of Legislation. Urge the Governor to sign 2, but veto the 3rd

We are asking you to take a minute out of your day to take action on 3 pieces of legislation.   Please do it today!
The two bills below are intended to mitigate the negative consequences of No Fault Divorce. In state, after state, reports show that No Fault Divorce has been devastating to the lives of women and children.

S8390/A10984B  and must be signed into law.  A study should be performed as to how these new laws truly work in the real world.  We all know that what looks good on paper, does not always work in the real world.  If, over time, these two laws are helpful to women and children, then No Fault Divorce could be considered.
Urge the Governor to sign S4532A and S8390 into law.

S4532A (Sampson)/A7569A(Weinstein)
Counsel Fee and Expert Fee Legislation
Provides for the payment of all counsel and expert fees in matrimonial actions by the more moneyed party to such action; adds actions to obtain maintenance or distribution of property after a foreign judgment of divorce to the actions for which such fees shall be awarded; directs the court to assure that each party is adequately represented; such actions shall also include actions to enforce a court order.

S8390 (Hassell-Thompson) /A10984B (Paulin)
Post Marital Income
It is an act to amend the domestic relations law, in relation to providing for temporary maintenance awards, and revising the factors for final maintenance awards; and directing the law revision commission to study the economic consequences of divorce and maintenance actions. PURPOSE OF BILL:  To take steps toward reforming the state's spousal maintenance awards by providing consistency and predictability in calculating temporary spousal maintenance awards, revising the state's laws on final maintenance awards by incorporating factors that reflect the experiences of divorcing couples, and directing a review of our maintenance laws and the economic consequences of divorce to enable the legislature to improve the effectiveness of these laws.

But don't stop there!  Tell the Governor to VETO the following legislation:
S3890A (Hassell-Thompson/A09753 (Bing) No Fault Divorce
This bill says that one party can start divorce proceedings over the objection of the other party.  We must look at the socio-economic standing of women in our society.Women clearly continue to be the non or lesser moneyed spouse, as women continue to give up careers and financial independence for the role of housewife and mother. For this reason alone we must look closely at how divorce affects the lives of women and children and the role that the state should play to ensure that homemakers and children not be left destitute after divorce.
