Action Alert from Hispanic Federation: We Dream Today

Dream Act Vote Today

Today a vote on the DREAM Act is imminent in the U.S. Congress. Thanks to the hard work and continued advocacy by many of you, we are now just a few votes away from securing the bill's passage. One last push to Congress may help to define the fate of hundreds of thousands of our youth.

The DREAM Act opens the door to higher education and military service for young people whose parents brought them to this country as children without proper documentation. This bill will allow hundreds of thousands of youth to fulfill their dreams and contribute their talents to the strengthening of our nation.

Hispanic Federation is urging all of its friends and supporters to take 10 minutes today to fight for the DREAM Act. Here is how you can help:
  1. Call 866-996-5161 and urge both of your Senators to support passage of the DREAM Act

  2. Call 10 friends and members of your family from across the country and ask them to do the same

  3. Update your facebook or twitter accounts with the following message "The DREAM Act is a matter of social justice and fairness for immigrant students in our country. The bill is up for a vote TODAY and may decide the fate for hundreds of thousands of immigrant students. Call your Senators at 866-996-5161 and urge them to support the DREAM Act."
