Action Alert: Make Calls to nix extension of tax cuts to the wealthiest 1%, repeal DADT & pass DREAM Act

In the next few weeks, Congress will be voting on a number of important legislative items before leaving for recess. The GOP has threatened to block all future legislation including the extension of unemployment benefits if all the Bush Era tax cuts are not extended.
In other words, if tax cuts are not extended to the wealthiest 1%, then public programs such as unemployment benefits are jeopardized for the majority. This is not acceptable.
Please ACT NOW! Here's how.

Make Some Calls

1) Call the White House and our NY Senators to ask them to vote NO on any extension of tax cuts to the wealthiest 1%.
White House - (202) 456-1111
Senator Schumer - (202) 224-6542
Senator Gillibrand - (202) 224-4451
2) Support the DREAM Act, an important step forward in immigration reform. Call 866-967-6018 or 866-957-2612 and ask to speak to your Congress member and one of the 5 Congress members below. Tell them you need them to vote "YES" on the DREAM Act when it comes to a vote next week.
Congressman Michael Arcuri
Congressman Brian Higgins
Congressman William Owens
Congressman Scott Murphy
Congressman John Hall
Attend a DREAM Act phone bank Tuesday, December 7th from 6pm to 9pm in Gramercy. Click here for details.
3) Lastly, urge our NY Senators to support the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell. If members of the military support this measure, so should our Congress.
Senator Schumer - (202) 224-6542
Senator Gillibrand - (202) 224-4451

Sign a Petition

Ask your Senators to vote against any extension of Bush Era tax cuts to the wealthy, add your name to the President's call to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell and sign the DREAM Act petition.
Thank you for your continued support.
