Action Alert: my blog post on Feministing RE Hunter's WGS program

Please sign the petition to enfranchise the Women and Gender Studies Program at Hunter College.  I wrote a Feministing post about it below, stating the influence the program has had on my personal development as a feminist and activist, and connecting it to the influence gender studies classes and teachers have had on many feminists throughout the nation.  Feministing is one of the most popular feminist blogs, especially for young feminists.

Hunter is one of the largest degree-granting entities of its kind in the country – with women making up 72% of its students.  Yet, the Women and Gender Studies program does not have a voice in college governance and is starved for resources.  Enfranchise WGS!  Please sign this petition to help.
