Activism works: Newspaper fires journalist for public rape threat against Hollaback activist

Many of you answered our call to sign the petition asking for the resignation of a Buenos Aires journalist who publicly threatened to rape a Hollaback activist.

Thanks to you, the journalist was fired and the newspaper issued a public apology.  The full story can be found here:

Just to remind you, Hollaback!, has been revolutionizing the way we look at and deal with street harassment - a form of sexual violence.  I was lucky to be part of the Ms. Magazine article highlighting their work

Thanks to Emily May, the founder and executive director of Hollaback, Buenos Aires activist Inti Maria, who was threatened, and all of YOU for sending a clear message to Argentina and the rest of the world that we will not be silenced by violent threats.

Happy to receive some good news amidst the war on women,
