With a few clicks, contact your legislators and news outlets for The Reproductive Health Act

With only one month remaining in the legislative session, now more than ever, we must tell our NYS Legislators that women need access to reproductive health care. As many of you know, women's rights and specifically reproductive rights are under attack in the War on Women.

The Reproductive Health Act has support from the majority of New York State residents (70%); NYS Legislators need to hear from you regarding this legislation. This act, if signed into law, will improve the health of every woman who resides in New York State, giving her access of contraception and safe and legal abortions without interference from the government. It will put abortion procedures in the health code where they belong, instead of the penal code.

Governor Cuomo has stated that he fully supports this legislation and will sign in into law if the NYS Legislature.

Contact your NYS Legislator today and tell her/him to pass the New York State Reproductive Health Act.  It's as easy as clicking a few times.
  • To find and contact your NYS Assembly member via phone and email,
  • To send letters to editors of various publications,
Ø      you can send as many emails as you want, but you can choose only five sources per email

Dear ____________

I live in your district and want you to please support the Reproductive Health
Act, Bill S.5808. The Reproductive Health Act has support from the majority of New York State residents (70%), including many of your constituents.  We hope you will vote in support of this bill!

This legislation, if signed into law, will improve the health of every woman who resides in New York State, giving her access to contraception and safe and legal abortions without interference from the government.  It will put abortion procedures in the health code where they belong, instead of the penal code.

New York women, children and families are not secure in relying on the federal protections provided by Roe v. Wade.  State legislatures across the country have enacted over 450 bills that would ban or restrict a woman's right to choose, some of which are a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade.  Roe could be overturned if one of these challenges reaches the Supreme Court. As a result, the Reproductive Health Act is a vital piece of legislation for all New Yorkers.

Governor Cuomo has stated that he fully supports this legislation and will sign in into law if the NYS Legislature passes it.

In New York, we have a history of being pro-choice and supporting pro-choice candidates.  I hope we can count you as one of the pro-choice legislators.

Sincerely,
