Non-Muslim woman experiences Islamophobia & Happy Eid

Today is the Muslim holiday of Eid-Al-Adha, which falls within the purification pilgrimage to Mecca, and celebrates the yearly requirement of poor-due for Muslims.

I wish for peace in all the Muslim nations our govt - the US - is currently bombing and killing 4-year-olds in. In case there is any confusion, the reason Americans were killed in Libya (as much as I denounce that act of terrorism), and there were protests elsewhere, is not a stupid film. It is American bombs in the Muslim world. http://youngfeministtaskforce.blogspot.com/2012/10/as-long-its-muslim-4-year-old-and-not.html and http://muslimvillage.com/2012/10/21/30335/the-real-reason-why-u-s-citizens-were-killed-in-libya/

Please read below a thoughtful post from sister National Organization for Women Board member Laurie, who explains the fear many Muslim American women and men experience on a daily basis.
