Mon, Feb 4: BALI young women's professional fundraiser

I hope you will join me and other NOW – NYS Young Feminist Task Force members, including my husband Micah, at the following event. I am honored to be on the board of BALI - Bella Abzug Leadership Institute BALI trains young middle-school, high school and college-aged women to debate and become leaders. We like to focus on under-served communities. The founder and President of BALI, Liz Abzug, practices true and inclusive feminism, which is reflected in BALI's work. I hope you will please help me support an organization that understands and practices intersectionality.

We are having a BALI young women's professional fundraiser at a cool jewelry store on:

Monday, February 4th, 7pm-9pm
Alex and Ani Soho
425 West Broadway
(Between Spring Street & Prince Streets)

The Alex and Ani company will be providing snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

Of any jewelry that is purchased that night, Alex and Ani will donate 15 percent to BALI.
The jewelry is reasonably priced and there are some attractive bracelets and some that you can actually put together, by stacking and adding different spiritual sayings and charms and symbols.

We hope you can donate a minimal amount to BALI like $25-40 on our pay pal site if you would like, or purchase jewelry that night.

We want to get young professional women jazzed up about our BALI and the importance and impact of our work. This was the idea of two of our young women  BALI dynamo leaders Dacia and Meghan who have been involved with our organization and in our training in different capacities.

No purchase is necessary.

Please come and join us. It will be nice to see you and for you to show your faces to support BALI girls and young women and hopefully a new crop of young women friends and supporters.
