National Organization for Women (NOW) was in forefront of bringing attention to Steubenville Rape

By now, most of you have heard of the horrible rape case in Steubenville, Ohio. What many of you may not know is that the sexual assault was going to be another one swept under the rug in a nation where a woman is raped or abused every nine seconds. We have to thank online activism from groups such as Anonymous and the Ohio Chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW), who refused to let the case be forgotten and got the media-attention ball rolling in the first place. This is just another reason I am proud to be on the NOW National Board. Please join us and change the course of America for the better for everyone. www.now.org
