Sat, April 5: NYC Anti-Street Harassment Rally

The Young Feminists and Allies chapter is co-hosting the below tomorrow, where I will speak. Hope you can join me and other members.

I will discuss two separate instances where I stood up for two women being harassed - one was a Muslim woman wearing hijab and the other a young East Asian woman wearing a short skirt. Both were being targeted for their ethnicity and clothing. Obviously, neither deserved it. At the YFA chapter, we recognize street harassment as a form of violence against women, one of the top six priority issues for NOW.

When: Saturday, April 5th, 1pm - 3pm
Where: Washington Square Park5 Ave, Waverly Pl., W. 4 St. and Macdougal St.
Manhattan

Want to stand up against #streetharassment and work to make NYC safer for women and LGBTQIA individuals? Join us at NYC's Anti-Street Harassment Rally!

The rally, part of International Anti-Street Harassment Week, will have 15 speakers and presenters, including breakout groups focusing on on-the-ground action, self-defense, wheat-pasting, bystander intervention, and more! Join us after the rally for a Chalk Walk!
