Many of you answered our call to sign the petition asking for the resignation of a Buenos Aires journalist who publicly threatened to rape a Hollaback activist.
Thanks to you, the journalist was fired and the newspaper issued a public apology. The full story can be found here:
Just to remind you, Hollaback! http://ihollaback.org, has been revolutionizing the way we look at and deal with street harassment - a form of sexual violence. I was lucky to be part of the Ms. Magazine article highlighting their work http://foundation.org/resources/multimedia/voices-from-the-field-hollaback
Thanks to Emily May, the founder and executive director of Hollaback, Buenos Aires activist Inti Maria, who was threatened, and all of YOU for sending a clear message to Argentina and the rest of the world that we will not be silenced by violent threats.
Happy to receive some good news amidst the war on women,
