The War on Women's next target: teenage women

Have you heard of the Teen Endangerment Act? It's a relic from the past -- an old anti-abortion rights bill women's rights supporters kept off the law books in the late '90s. With the House of Representatives continuing its malicious time-travel back to a pre-feminist era, NOW activists are working once again to stop this dangerous bill, and we need your help to win.

Called the Child Interstate Abortion Act (H.R. 2299), this proposed legislation makes criminals of aunts, grandmothers or any other caring adult who helps a teen travel from a state with parental involvement laws to another state to obtain a safe, legal abortion. This bill was passed out of committee by a vote of 20 to 13. Help NOW fight this latest attack in the ongoing War on Women.

NOW activists across the country are emailing and phoning their representatives to tell them to defeat the Teen Endangerment Act and stop this relentless War on Women. We've had enough!

Enough of restrictions on birth control ... enough of demeaning mandatory ultrasound laws ... enough of laws declaring a fertilized egg a human being ... enough of savaging a young woman for daring to offer testimony about the importance of contraception as preventive health care for women. Enough! With your help, we will win this fight. If you haven't renewed already, please renew your membership today.

Renew your membership, and you'll stay part of our vital network of feminist activists. Please let me hear from you right away.
