Montana NOW has been busy working to remove Judge Baugh — infamous for calling a deceased rape victim "older than her chronological age" and gave the rapist (the victim's teacher at the time of the assaults) a 30-day sentence — from the bench. Montana NOW, joined by Pennsylvania NOW and with help from Legal Momentum, has filed an official complaint against the judge. National NOW's statement on the case is available online and you can read about the case on Pennsylvania NOW Executive Committee member Joanne Tosti-Vasey's blog. Virginia NOW has launched a get out the vote campaign for the upcoming gubernatorial election. Using postcards, Virginia NOW hopes to educate voters on the GOP's anti-woman stances and encourage turnout on Election Day. You can read more about the project at the Sun Gazette. Wisconsin NOW took action against license plates promoting — and funding — anti-choice Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPCs). See photos from the event on their Facebook page.
